Mindfulness-based emotional intelligence (EI) connects the benefits of focused attention and well-being to the needs of individuals, team, leadership and the organization as a whole. This can be learned and is an integral part of leadership development in that it contributes to employee effectiveness and happiness at work and in relationships.
Using concepts around fairness, role-playing and psychological safety, this workshop explores how we can learn to experience what others feel while maintaining a clear discernment about your own and the other person’s feeling and perspectives. Empathy and compassion contribute build a more diverse, equitable and inclusive culture while also addressing burnout.
Using attention and somatic (relating to the body) practices to build concentration, clarity of mind and skillfully navigate emotional triggers
Using real life conversational examples to build compassionate leadership which shows up as care, courage, and motivation. We will practice communicating content, feelings and identity issues, and impact versus intention within the framework of important conversations

Self-compassion is an evidence-based acceptance practice to realistically meet and work with persistent emotions such as anxiety, self-doubt and lack of motivation from a position of strength. Through stories, research, and interactive activities we will explore how being kind, curious and less judgmental about our own difficulties can build sustainable resiliency.
